DCSI PLANS TO LAUNCH DIGITAL SIGNAGE NETWORK IN PHOENIX

Digital Consumer Solutions, Inc. (DCSI), a provider of integrated digital out-of-home signage, has announced plans for the expansion and broad deployment of its digital display network in Phoenix beginning January 1, 2009.

In early 2008, the Tempe, Arizona-based company (previously PhiMedia LLC) began deploying high definition LCD screens in convenience stores, grocery stores, quick service restaurants, and wine/liquor establishments nationwide, beginning with Fresno, California and Portland, Oregon. Its third quarter deployments included Washington D.C., Los Angeles and New Orleans.

According to the company, its entry into the Phoenix market comes as a response to the radical shift in consumer habits, where exposure to television and print media is declining and mobile interactivity has become king. DCSI says the strategic placement of fully integrated signage in high-traffic retail locations allows advertisers to leave remarkable impressions on millions of targeted consumers.

Digital displays let business expand their message beyond the scope and accessibility of traditional advertising, the company adds. Likewise, it says there are opportunities for nonprofits and charitable organizations to broadcast to a locally-aware community.
